I recently saw the shower that Kevin finished himself, after Iain and his merry men had left the shower in shambles. Congratulations Kevin, on a job well done. On the plus side of this horrendous experience, both Kevin and Tara have develped new skills (siding, plumbing, etc.) and have learned that together, they can handle almost anything.

Iain. Here's hoping that someone tracks you down and uses you for a punching bag. or worse.

My husband and I also got took by Iain last Dec 23, 2007 for our deposit. What a joke. I will for the next 8 years be paying the bank back for this costly mistake. We are still building our house, but cut back on most of the extras and trying to do some of the things ourself in order to recover some of the money that we lost to Ian.
Iain if you are reading this, you are a liar and should be in jail. I hope that I have the opportunity to see you in the rink this winter and be able to talk to you about what you did to us. I would like to know what you did with our money and was it worth it in the end to be so hated? I believe Iain, what goes around comes around and some day you will get what is coming to you for what you did to alot of good people who trusted you.

I commend you Kevin on your restraint from not resorting to vigilante justice and taking a pound of flesh.
I for one would not have that retraint.

Iain, if you are reading this, I hope you are happy with yourself for all the lies you told and for the shitty job you did building our house! You took what should have been the happiest time in our lives and turned it in to a total freaking nightmare! In the last year we have had people here working this house trying to fix all the mistakes you made and repair what you did wrong in the first place! It has cost us 10's of thousands of dollars, and we aren't even close to being done! No one will even touch the outside of the house to finish the stucco, it is such a subpar job! Any suggestions genius, like your suggestion that we put sheeting over our missing basement windows for the last year? I curse the day that I found your website and myself for ever dialing the number and even more for ever believing that you were trustworthy to give money to! If we ever run into you again, you will have a lot of explaining to do! Shame on you, shame on you!

Obviously there is something seriously wrong with our legal system. If someone takes your money to pay a bill on your behalf as in a contractor paying the electrician, plumber, flooring company etc. and does not pay; how can that not be theft? Why is this man not in jail?

Iain is a very untrustworthy person and should be held accountable for all his lies . We too have been had by this man and are frustrated with what we can do!

I find it so unacceptable that in our country one must be very well-off financially before one can afford to legally have justice when dealing with individuals such as your "bad builder". Innocent middle class people will continue to be victimized until the legal system makes some changes.

I thought you would have gone out of business a long time ago. You likely do not remember me. I am the owner of the house that you drilled huge holes through brick to glue in hunks of wood in order to mount my bookshelf to. Guess what I have now. Holes in the wall and a bookshelf on the floor. Thanks Iain.

Please answer this one Mr. Hall.
Do you feel good or does it give you some kinda of high when you lie profusely, fabricate stories, pit people against each other and use your family as excuses to justify your stupidity? Honestly, you are a piece of work!

Thank you Kevin for putting this information on the world wide web. I hope it reaches many people that Iain has hurt.
I find it somewhat funny that Iain told you he had paid everyone. Here is a list of some of the people you can confirm with that he hasn't paid to date:
Winroc - Apparently he is willing to sign over one of his trailers in lieu of some of the money he owes them but I think that might be stabbing them twice because from what i've heard; all the assets of the company are liened.
Rona/signature truss/RC plumbing/Homer J construction/serbu sand and gravel/la farge/sterling crane/Granite mountain stone/BTC auto/Marble factory/Prime Fasteners/Southern Interiors
these are just a few vendors he owes and I'm sure if you call them they will confirm that Iain owes them money. As for customers, well hopefully they will see this and write their story. The most recent customer of Iain's was out in Buena Vista. It was a house for the accountant that was going to save the company. Well about 3 weeks ago they fired Iain. I've heard they are out a lot of money too.
