Sample stage definitions

If you are looking for some sample stage definitions here is one I found

Base / Slab Stage
A Building with a concrete floor, other than a suspended concrete slab floor – the stage when the building’s floor is finished.

Frame Stage
The stage when a building’s frame is finished.

Lock-up / Enclosed Stage
For a building means the stage when;

  1. the external wall cladding is fixed; and
  2. the roof covering is fixed.
  3. the structural flooring is laid; and
  4. the external doors are fixed (even if only temporarily, a good builder will likely install a construction door to protect your nice door)
  5. the external windows are fixed

Pre-Paint Stage / Fixing Stage
The stage when all internal lining, architraves, cornice, skirting, doors to rooms, baths, shower trays, wet area tiling, built-in shelves, built-in cabinets and built-in cupboards of a building are fitted and fixed in position.

Practical Completion Stage / Final Stage
Plumber fit-out, electrical fit-out, shower screens, final fit, external concrete, pergola, cleaner, carpet, final site clean, paint final, landscape, fencing, blinds, final inspection.

Percentage draws vary from builder to builder and stage to stage.  The only advice I can give is look at what is left to do on the house. If I can find some sample percentages I will include them as well. If anyone has some please send them along and I will get them up.
