Just in case Iain does something stupid like transfer the business to Les's name or tries to run a new business under his name.
Les's real name is
David Leslie Burns. It always makes me wonder what is going on when someone uses their middle name instead of their real name.
When we were building or house Les was the quality control guy. I was so happy when the quality control guy got assigned our house as there were so many screwups happening, Unfortunately there was no quality control on the quality control guy. Les was responsible for most of the work done after Feb. Things like shimming the tub so that water collects in the back corner, applying paint that wipes off with water.
He is also the person responsible for glueing the baseboards on with enough glue that it ran out the bottom onto the floor.
Les was the one that cut the backsplash in the master bathroom to extend the sink into the shower. Glass doors do not fit well when installed overtop of a sink.
Did you know that cultured marble bends if you leave it leaning up against a wall for 2 months?
If you pound on the electronic controls for a tub with a hammer it breaks?
Did you know that white marble trim is a different colour than ivory and when you put both in a bathroom it looks funny?
If you see Les coming DO NOT let him in. Chances are good that he will make things worse.

As a former employee, I don't think there was really any problem with Less, other then that Iain really didn't train him proper.
Iain should've never laid something like plumbing on him from the get-go, as he's only been a painter for the most of his building career. In effect, Iain let Less down, and I've seen Less mad at stuff like this before. By Former Employee - 12/10/2008 2:45 PM

All people (employees included) need to know their own limits. Les is responsible for knowing where his abilities lie.
